FINANCING THE MUSEUM

The Grundy County Museum, which receives no public financing, relies on entrance fees, donations and interest on investments from previous gifts to fund the annual budget.  The Museum has no paid employees and all members of the Board of Directors serve without compensation.    To make a donation to the museum, make your check payable to The Grundy County Museum and mail it to: The Grundy County Museum, 1100 Mable Street, Trenton MO 64683.  Additional information about donor recognition can be seen below.

SUPPORTERS

The Museum exists and grows because of the financial support and the time and effort of many devoted individuals who value the preservation our past for future generations.
Past-President Dewayne Marlay said, "The things that are common to me, because I grew up with them, are new to our youngsters.  I had no idea the Baker School one-room school house would be such a hit.  That's why we must preserve our memories and history for our grandchildren and future generations."
Current goals are...
  • Increasing the Museum's collections.
  • Honoring our veterans.
  • Improving physical facilities.
If you would like to become part of the museum family, donate items to the Museum, or provide financial support for these current projects, contact President Phil Schlarb or any board member.  Many of the Museum's displays have donor cards identifying the individuals who donated the item.
